Kid’s Empire: A Top Play Space in Columbus, Georgia

When we moved to Georgia in 2022, I was surprised to learn there were a limited number of indoor play spaces within 30 minutes of our new home. Over the last couple of years, I’ve been thrilled to see many more spaces open for energetic kids. Kid’s Empire is by far the best play space that we’ve been to in this area.

Here’s what I really liked about Kid’s Empire. It is clean! You all, I am a germaphobe, type A personality, neat freak mama. When my kids want to go to the Burger King or McDonald’s playgrounds, my skin crawls from the moment I step into the play space that smells of stinky feet and old ketchup. Yuck! Kid’s Empire is clean, and they allow socks only in the play space. I really appreciate this as a mom who values cleanliness. The play structure was clean. There was no old food or mystery stains. They had two play areas, one for older kids and one for younger kids. Both play structures are the perfect size for the intended ages to have fun for hours. Speaking of fun for hours, your admission is good for the entire day! That means your kids can play in the morning, you can leave to eat lunch, they can play in the afternoon, then leave to eat dinner, and come back to play in the evening.

Now, for what my little guy liked! The huge play structure with so much to do. He absolutely loved the slides, and you know what, so did I. They were very fast. There was one slide that had rollers, and a ride-on sled you sat on to go down. He went down that one over and over again. There was much to explore within the structure, and they even have a small soccer field on the second level that my little athlete spent a lot of time showing off his skills. He loved the motorbikes that smaller kids can ride on a track under the play structure. Before we left, he informed me that it was the best place ever, and we had to come back.

We visited on a weekday, and there weren’t many people there. We’ve reached the ages where my kids often find places like this babyish, but Kid’s Empire does a good job at offering things that appeal to bigger kids. I wanted to do my part to spread the word about this amazing indoor play space as the weather cools down. This is my top pick for indoor play spaces in Columbus!
