1/6: Kids’ Wonder Haven: Birds in Winter (Aglow Apothecary + Healing Haven, Columbus)

1/7: Homeschool Hangout (Lagrange Memorial Library, Lagrange)
Calling all homeschool families! We're bringing back Homeschool Hangout by popular demand! Join us in the Community Room on January 7th and 21st from 11 AM - 12 PM for some educational fun! January 7th - New Year, New Skills

1/13: Tuesdays in the Field: Home Sweet Home (Georgia Aquarium, Atlanta)
From critters and creatures to our friends and families, those who call Georgia home know that in each unique region, there are wonders to behold. With a richly diverse series of ecosystems, our native species represent the multitudes contained within our state. Join us to discover what life looks like from the Blue Ridge Mountains down to the Atlantic Ocean and explore the impact of invasive species on local flora and fauna.
1/14: Homeschool Hangout (Hogansville Public Library, Hogansville)
Join us and build a sculpture out of crayons! Mom, we will use low temp glue guns. Bring your amazing ideas and lets have fun. We have crayons, but you can also bring your unwanted ones.
1/15: Homeschool Day (Atlanta History Museum, Atlanta)
We’re headed to Europe this Homeschool Day to unpack the history of the Middle Ages. From storied tales of knights in shining armor, to Gothic architecture and the rulers that lived within them, we’ll discover the era’s rise, fall, and everything in-between!
1/19: Majestic Caverns Homeschool Day (Majestic Caverns, Childersburg, AL)
Make your child’s learning come alive and feel like a hero as they both learn and have fun. Explore the depths of our cavern, engage in above ground fun and even have an underground classroom for an unforgettable experience.
We’ll explore why storytelling has always mattered more in winter, then create hand puppets inspired by folklore characters and animals. 1/27,1/28,1/29: Arts in Education Performance: THE DA VINCI CODE (Springer Opera House, Columbus)
In this thrilling play, based on Dan Brown’s best selling international phenomenon, Professor Robert Langdon is called to the Louvre in the dead of night, where he unwittingly becomes the center of a murder investigation. When cryptologist Sophie Neveu arrives at the scene, she alerts Robert that, not only is he being asked to solve the crime, he is also the prime suspect. Soon they are in a race against time to clear Robert’s name and decipher a labyrinthine code before a shocking historical secret is lost forever. Appropriate for ages 16+ due to depictions of violence, including gunshots and weapons.

In this fun musical adaptation of David Shannon's beloved book, Camilla thinks she must choose between her favorite food - lima beans - and the acceptance of those around her. But the harder she tries to conform to other people’s opinions, the more miserable (and colorful) she becomes. With infectious energy and heartfelt message, A Bad Case of Stripes reminds audiences of all ages that embracing your true colors is the key to self-discovery and acceptance. Appropriate for all ages.
